Rangoli Patterns
Reception to Year 2 have also been exploring the significance of rangoli patterns in Diwali celebrations. With creativity and care, the learners created their own beautiful rangoli patterns, using practical materials such as pasta and lentils, as well as chalk. They thoughtfully selected colours, shapes, and symmetrical designs to bring their patterns to life. Bendigedig pawb!

Responsibility
This week in our Health and Well-being sessions, Reception learners have been exploring the concept of responsibility. Through a practical activity with ‘Jigsaw Jenie,’ the learners have taken responsibility for planting and growing cress. Everyone has worked hard to ensure the cress receives everything it needs to grow healthily.
Self Portraits
Learners from Reception to Year Two have been learning about self-portraits in their Expressive Arts lessons. Some learners experimented with different media and chose the one they felt worked best to create their self-portrait, while others learnt new sketching techniques. All the learners demonstrated impressive attention to detail, carefully considering colour, shape, and size in their artwork.

Coding
Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been having fun with the Bee-Bots, Sphero’s and coding on the computer this week. Some learners had to direct the Bee-Bot to order the planets while avoiding the aliens along the way. Another group had to direct the Sphero with control through a maze to order the planets, and other learners had to program the rocket on the computer to reach each planet. The learners showed excellent perseverance, concentration and determination throughout. Well done Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne!
