Last year Dosbarth Mrs Curtis and Dosbarth Miss Powell planted wildflowers, the children then collected the seeds from these flowers. This morning we have planted the seeds in our pots, we are excited to see the flowers grow and attract insects.

Sunflowers
Dosbarth Miss Powell and Dosbarth Mrs Curtis had a busy afternoon on Friday. We planted sunflower seeds in the pots that we decorated on Thursday. Whose sunflower will be the tallest?
Welly Walk Wednesday
This morning, Dosbarth Miss Powell and Dosbarth Mrs Curtis went on a Welly Walk to view our local area, focusing on the local caravan park. We have started our Theme Park Thrills learning journey here, as part of our cynefin (belonging).

Our Criw Cymraeg leaders led our Health and Wellbeing warm up this afternoon, yn Gymraeg. Gwaith wych pawb!
Swansea WW2 trip
Dosbarth Mrs Curtis had an early start on Thursday morning travelling in style, on a VIP bus to Swansea. First stop was the Dylan Thomas theatre to see the play, ‘Arandora Star’. Where we learnt all about Welsh/Italians living in south Wales during WW2 and how they were treated during this time. This was followed by a question and answer session with the cast.
After lunch we had a quick walk around the waterfront, before going to the Waterfront Museum to take part in a WW2 workshop.
Terrific Tennis
We had a brilliant afternoon practising our skills, in our first tennis session! We were introduced to the ABC’s… Agility, balance and coordination.
Welly Walk
Dosbarth Miss Powell and dosbarth Mrs Curtis went on a welly walk during their Health and Well-being session this week. We all enjoyed being able to get out and explore our local area.
Health and Wellbeing
This week in Health and Wellbeing, learners collaborated to devise a 10 minute warm up suitable for our Hockey session. The learners had to plan pulse raising and game specific activities and include relevant stretches.
Cwis Dim Clem!
Today the KS2 learners participated in rownd 2 of the Cwis Dim Clem. Whilst we were not successful today, learners should be very proud to have made the top 12 out of a total of 28 schools. Gwaith wych, pawb!
