Radnor Hills
Dosbarth Miss Powell and Dosbarth Mrs Curtis had a fantastic afternoon at Radnor Hills. It was very interesting for our learners to discover the process from the factory to our school. Huge thank you to Radnor Hills for hosting us so well, and for our freebies!
STEM Award!
Dosbarth Mrs Curtis have received a special award in the post for their Marble STEM Competition from last term.
Marble Run
Last week Dosbarth Mrs Curtis joined forces with Gladestry Church in Wales School and took part in the Royal Academy of Engineering Collaborative Project 2022. Each group worked on a design for their own inventive marble run. We were so proud of how well the both schools worked together and finished their challenge in the time given. On Friday afternoon we joined in the live presentation and were awarded the Collaboration Award and have won a 3D printer for school. Da iawn pawb!!!
Theme Park Thrills
What an awesome day! Of course Dosbarth Mrs Curtis and Dosbarth Miss Powell had to visit a theme park, as part of our ‘Theme Park Thrills’ learning theme. It was brilliant to observe the science in real life, and have lots of fun! Da iawn pawb!

Team Work
Dosbarth Mrs Curtis have worked on our team building skills around the log circle by taking it in turns and including every member of the team.
We have also been very busy planting our carrots, parsnips and beetroot. Diolch yn fawr to Lisa Powell for the carrots.
The learners listened to instructions from each other and worked together as a team!
Centripetal Force
Dosbarth Miss Powell and Dosbarth Mrs Curtis had a great outdoor practical science experiment today, testing the effects of centripetal force. Some nervous faces, as the learners hoped to not have a splash
Garddio
Dosbarth Mrs Curtis a Dosbarth Miss Powell have been busy this week getting the garden ready for planting vegetables. The children worked in teams to clear the beds. They pulled up dead flowers, (being careful of the bulbs so we can replant next year) and removed all the weeds.
We will be planting our vegetables very soon!
