We are very proud of all our learners who entered the Eco-Committee’s poster competition to advertise our second-hand clothing sale. All posters were excellent and the learners were very creative in the way they designed these. Thank you to all those who entered and a big well done! The Eco-Committee have now displayed the posters around our school site and in Esco’s. Don’t forget to note the date and time in your diary!

Sinfonia Cymru
What a great morning watching Sinfonia Cymru perform. Learners were excellent in describing the images that came to their mind when listening to the music and how it made them feel. They also answered and asked some great questions throughout. We would like to say a big thank you to Sinfonia Cymru for performing to us today!
Peter Thorpe Space Artwork
Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been learning about Peter Thorpe and his space artwork. The learners experimented with using different techniques and textures to see which they liked best for the background and then explored which colours they thought went well together. They carefully designed their own rocket, thinking about what colours would go best with their background. Everyone worked very hard and have created wonderful pieces of artwork!
Madley Environmental Centre Trip
Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne had a great trip to Madley Environmental Centre yesterday. The learners engaged in various space activities, such as a satellite tour, making rockets, and creating their very own aliens using natural materials. The learners also had to use their problem-solving skills and team work to create the solar system where they had to plot the planets using a given distance sheet.

Ordering the Planets
Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been learning about the planets in our solar system. The learners were introduced to the mnemonic ‘My Very Excellent Mum Just Served Us Noodles’ and used this to draw and order the planets. The learners thought carefully about the size and appearance of each of the planets when drawing these with chalk outdoors.

Welly Walk
Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been learning about living and non-living things and had fun on a welly walk this week searching for these around the village. We found lots of living things, such as the trees, flowers and animals, and lots of non-living things like bins, cars and houses. Great searching everyone!
Visit from Sophie
Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been lucky enough to have a visit from Sophie this week who spent some time living in India. Prior to Sophie’s visit, in class we have learnt about what questions are, why we ask them and how to write them. The learners created some brilliant questions of their own to ask Sophie so that they could find out more information about India and about her experience of living there. Some of the learners worked as a group to create some questions together and other learners typed their own questions up on the computer. We would like to say a big thank you to Sophie for very kindly coming in!
