Learners in Dosbarth Miss Powell a Dosbarth Mrs Curtis had a fantastic first session with Impelo dance company this afternoon. Learners demonstrated creativity and enthusiasm as they developed an understanding of a sequence.

Counting Skills
In maths this week in Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been developing our counting skills. We have been finding amounts, using a bead string to count on and we have also explored estimating using different objects.
Radnor Hills
Dosbarth Miss Powell and Dosbarth Mrs Curtis had a fantastic afternoon at Radnor Hills. It was very interesting for our learners to discover the process from the factory to our school. Huge thank you to Radnor Hills for hosting us so well, and for our freebies!
Evaporation
As part of our exploring “Where does water begin?”, Dosbarth Miss Powell have been observing evaporation in real life.
STEM Award!
Dosbarth Mrs Curtis have received a special award in the post for their Marble STEM Competition from last term.
Music
In music today we explored the different sounds we can make using the drums!
Marble Run
Last week Dosbarth Mrs Curtis joined forces with Gladestry Church in Wales School and took part in the Royal Academy of Engineering Collaborative Project 2022. Each group worked on a design for their own inventive marble run. We were so proud of how well the both schools worked together and finished their challenge in the time given. On Friday afternoon we joined in the live presentation and were awarded the Collaboration Award and have won a 3D printer for school. Da iawn pawb!!!
Coding
We have been developing our coding skills using the Bee-Bots and Spheros.
The Scream
Dosbarth Miss Powell have been exploring ‘The Scream’ artwork by Edvard Munch. Learners then created their own interpretation to depict a rollercoaster ride!
Butterfly
We have had some class caterpillars growing and have been able to learn about the life cycle of a butterfly. It has been really interesting!
