Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been on a number hunt on their welly walk this week. The learners worked hard to spot objects of different amounts. Bendigedig Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne!

Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been busy outdoors in their phonics lessons. Some of these activities have involved the learners going on word hunts and practising to write words containing the sounds they have been learning using the chalk. Learners then worked hard to put these words into sentences.

The Eco-Committee have been busy sorting the bottle top lids that have been collected into different coloured groups ready to start their art project soon. Thank you to everyone who has kindly recycled these! Watch this space for future updates!

The Eco-Committee shared some great news with the school today. After everyone’s hard work over the last academic year, we have been awarded our ‘Eco-Schools Platinum+ Award’ which is a great achievement by all, so a big well done everyone. We would like to also say thank you to our parents and the community for supporting us with this along the way. 

Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been on an alphabet hunt on their welly walk this week. The learners did a great job of finding things starting with each letter. Well done everyone.

We have all been celebrating St Dwynwen’s Day here at Radnor Valley.

Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne wrapped up warm to go out into the snow to practise writing the letter sounds and words including these sounds that they have been learning in their Phonics lessons.

Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been learning about Chinese New Year. We read the Chinese New Year Story and carried out some maths around this to develop our understanding of ordinal numbers and number words. We also explored some Chinese items and created some Chinese dragon craft. 

Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been learning about money in their Mathematics and Numeracy lessons this week. Some of us have been on a coin hunt outside, others have been using money within the shop, as well as carrying out many other activities involving money.
