We have all been celebrating St Dwynwen’s Day here at Radnor Valley.

Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne wrapped up warm to go out into the snow to practise writing the letter sounds and words including these sounds that they have been learning in their Phonics lessons.

Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been learning about Chinese New Year. We read the Chinese New Year Story and carried out some maths around this to develop our understanding of ordinal numbers and number words. We also explored some Chinese items and created some Chinese dragon craft. 

Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been learning about money in their Mathematics and Numeracy lessons this week. Some of us have been on a coin hunt outside, others have been using money within the shop, as well as carrying out many other activities involving money. 

What a fabulous, fun filled day it was here at Radnor Valley on Tuesday. Here are some photographs of learners from Dosbarth Miss Powell and Dosbarth Mrs Smith enjoying the day.

Today Dosbarth Miss Powell explored the question, ”How do boats float?”. We had a lot of fun designing, creating and reflecting as we explored the forces buoyancy and gravity.

Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have all been very excited today when opening their Christmas letters they have received back from Santa. Not long to go now…. ho ho ho! 

Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been learning about the Christmas Story and have worked hard to sequence this to create Christmas Story crowns.
