At After School Club this week, the learners took the opportunity to enjoy the dry weather by working in teams to make their own dens outdoors. We had some wonderful creations and great team work. Bendigedig pawb!

River Journeys
As part of our topic ‘River Journeys’, Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been learning about what a river is and how they are formed. The learners worked together to make their own river in the sandpit and talked about why rivers meander.
Beat in Music
Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne had a visit from Lynsey this week to teach us about beat in music. We had great fun using the claves exploring various styles of music.
Welsh Colour Welly Walk
On our welly walk this week, Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne went on a Welsh colour hunt around the village. We found lots of colours all around us and practised naming these in Welsh.
Dina School
Last week in Dina School, Dina and Wally taught the learners in Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne about the importance of listening skills and played some games with them to help with this.
Earth day
Dosbarth Miss Powell and dosbarth Mrs Smith have been learning about Earth day this week. Learners have made Earth Day posters to share their knowledge about this subject.
Pcornets and pbones
Dosbarth Miss Powell had a fantastic first session with Mrs Freeman learning to use the pcornets and pbones!
Gemau Buarth

Diolch i Gruff o Menter Brycheiniog a Maesyfed for joining us at Afterschool Club this week. We had lots of fun learning some new Gemau Buarth (Yard Games).
Measuring Length
Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have been learning about measuring length in our Mathematics and Numeracy lessons and have carried out a range of activities to explore this. The learners have worked hard to ensure they are measuring accurately using a variety of materials, such as cubes, their hands and paper clips. Bendigedig everyone!
Cawl Project
As part of our topic, Dosbarth Miss Burgoyne have learnt about traditional Welsh foods and have carried out a small project on cawl. We worked in groups to design our own healthy cawl linked to our learning of healthy eating, and then made each of these to find out which was the favourite. We continued our learning of emailing safely and had the opportunity to email our parents to invite them into school to taste our yummy cawl. We have also been working hard to learn the names of some of the vegetables in Welsh. On our welly walk, we then went to buy the vegetables from Sharon’s shop whilst discussing the importance of supporting local businesses and finding out where some of the vegetables come from. Finally, we made the chosen cawl for our parents to come into school to try and it was delicious!
